How to Setup the Newest Message Extensions in Adwords

AdWords has recently added a new, mobile-only extension that allows customers to reach to you directly via text for questions, scheduling appointments, and/or quotes. This option will make sense if your company has the ability to receive and answer text messages quickly.

Setting up this feature is easy and you can even create pre-populated messages to make it easier for your customers. Select “Ad Extensions” inside the AdWords platform and under the drop down options, you will see “Message Extensions.”

When creating the pre-populated message, you will want to consider the questions your customers frequently ask. This extension can be a great tool in helping your customers know the right question to ask.

Steps to Setup Message Extensions:

Inside AdWords, select “Ad extensions > Message extensions > + Extension.”

Now, you will have the ability to start creating your first message extension. You will need to include:

1. Your business name
2. A telephone number that is able to receive text messages
3. Extension text
4. Message text

You will also have the option to run your message extensions during a certain time period of the day. Keep in mind, you will pay each time someone clicks on your message extension and so it might make sense to create an ad schedule to run during your hours of business.

  1. Thanks my friend for sharing this step by step tutorial here. I am also in need of Google Adwords Campaign Management team for my blog’s promotion but not able to find any service within my budget. If anyone knows about any good team in LA, please let me know.
